Libertyville
Libertyville is located in central Covington County in the extreme south-central part of the state. It has a mayor/city council form of government.
History
Libertyville was incorporated in 1967, with elections held in July of the same year. The local city hall was built upon land donated by local resident Grove Harrelson.
Demographics
According to 2020 Census estimates, Libertyville recorded a population of 45. Of that number, 97.8 percent of respondents identified themselves as white, 2.2 percent as Hispanic or Latino, and 2.2 percent as two or more races. The town’s median household income was $61,750, and the per capita income was $36,789.

According to 2020 Census estimates, the workforce in Libertyville was divided among the following industrial categories:

- Educational services and health care and social assistance (17.6 percent)
- Transportation and warehousing, and utilities (17.6 percent)

Students in Libertyville attend Covington County schools; no public schools are located within the town limits.
Transportation
State Highway 55 bisects Libertyville running northwest-southeast.
Events and Places of Interest
The Conecuh National Forest is located less than five miles south of Libertyville.
