Slocomb is located in Geneva County in the extreme southeastern part of the state, approximately 10 miles north of the Alabama/Florida line. It has a mayor/city council form of government.
History

Demographics
According to 2020 Census estimates, Slocomb recorded a population of 1,941. Of that number, 73.2 percent of respondents identified themselves as white, 24.2 percent as African American, 3.6 percent as Hispanic, 1.5 percent as two or more races, and 0.9 as American Indian. The town's median household income was $38,170, and the per capita income was $19,080.

State Road 52 runs east-west through town, and State Road 103 roughly north-south.
Events and Places of Interest
During the third weekend of June, Slocomb holds a Tomato Festival. The event includes musical entertainment, a Miss Tomato pageant, a recipe contest, and food.
